The first half of this amazing Simon/Viral doujin just got posted on yaoi_daily. I've linked this post summarising it before (it's that doujin about Simon and Viral's horribly moe lovechild! ♥) and I am so delighted that I get to see it! When I never thought I would!)

Apparently it was posted and scanlated on 4chan. Clearly 4chan is where it's at.

The World Right Here, a Viral-perspective take on why he began fighting for the humans who wanted to return underground. Fascinating: I haven't actually read any Viral fic before, and this is a great start. *grin* And now I wonder if I'll ever be able to find or read anything as good again. ;) It has a different perspective on what I thought would happen as Kamina City rose to power: I thought that the humans would hunt down the beastmen as the beastmen had hunted them, to keep their city safe. This fic is of the opinion that the humans would leave the beastmen alone. Interesting, and I can see both points. My reasoning for thinking that the humans would hunt down beastmen is that I didn't think the beastmen would so easily leave the humans alone after the fall of Teppelin. I envisioned the beastmen as constantly trying to wrest back dominance.

Despite coming into Gurren Lagann at a time after most of the people I knew had gotten into it, I think I came into it at a perfect time. ♥ Right after everything had been subbed, and after all the fanart and doujin had come out. Sure, I missed the OMG EXCITEMENT over the ending, but I come right after the Japanese subs and right before interest (and condemnation) starts heating up for the dub.

flauta_de_pollo's posts here and here made me realise that this month's Newtype USA had a double-sided Gurren-Lagann poster, so I went and got mine today! It's great, and now I have a Gurren-Lagann pinup, except that Yoko figures prominently (... and I do mean prominently) in just about every picture. In fact, there's a four-page Playboy-esque pin-up sheet that made me go D: NOW IF ONLY I WERE A TEENAGE BOY. Or if it were KAMINA INSTEAD OF YOKO HOW ABOUT THAT

And I love when this post on Gimmy and Darry gets beautifully sidetracked by what's rapidly becoming my favourite CFUD tag-team duo. ♥ Kinon and Rossiu of ALL PEOPLE, GUYS. But as CFUD has shown me before, it can make me ship pairings I never thought I'd ship. I laughed so hard at this ♥ Say, is it creepy to go, "HI, I WOULD LOVE TO FRIEND YOU BECAUSE I THINK YOU ARE AN AWESOME RPER. END ♥"

... it is too freaky, isn't it.

There was this post here that asked about whether a Rossiu/Simon community existed. There isn't one yet, but I'd love to make one: the only question is the name.

This post suggested heartvshead, which I thought was okay ~ I wanted something to do with gattai, since the Kamina/Simon and Viral/Simon communities have kept up the trend with gattailove and shukumeigattai respectively.

would be terribly pedesterian, I think. I was going to name it srs but the name is already taken. It would have been Simon/Rossiu/Simon because I can't tell who tops. It's Simon for me, but Rossiu for a whole lot of other people.

Then I read the first comment for this post, and so, if Rossiu's name comes from the word ushiro (後), meaning "behind" - then it should be ushirogattai, no? wiki entry, this discussion and this discussion for backup!
